Duds

Trae Young (at MIA – $10,400 on DK; $9,600 on FD): Young is listed as the highest salary on DK and as good as he is, I’d be surprised if he ended up as a the top scorer. It’s a tough matchup for him and guys like Beal and Butler have much better matchups.

CJ McCollum (vs NY – $7,100 on DK; $7,400 on FD): McCollum has a high ceiling and could get hot, especially a against a team like the Knicks. But this feels more like a committee game for the Blazers, which is why I like Carmelo at his lower salary and Whiteside to really outperform his salary. McCollum may not hurt you, but I’m not sure he gives you enough.

Nikola Jokic (at PHI – $9,000 on DK; $8,800 on FD): It’s a tough matchup for Jokic who just hasn’t been giving you enough for the majority of the season. He’s going to have his hands full on both ends of the court and there is far better value below him with much better matchups.

Al Horford (vs DEN – $6,600 on DK; $7,500 on FD): Horford has just been underperforming in the last handful of games. Much like McCollum, he’s probably not going to hurt you much, but don’t expect a huge outing from him. He also has a much tougher matchup than McCollum does on Tuesday, so if you’re decided between the two on FD given the similar salary, McCollum is the way to go.
