NFL quarterback rankings, Week 15: Drew Lock beckons
John Brodie Division
16. Josh Allen (LW: 12)
I gave ample love to Allen last week, but he drops four spots after a horrid showing against the Ravens. In fairness, the line was a mess, allowing six sacks and 12 QB hits. Still, Allen missed open throws early on and ended up totaling 3.9 YPA. Not good.
15. Derek Carr (LW: 14)
Carr threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover against the Titans, but he also threw the ball away on fourth down. He did the same thing last year. Nothing could show less awareness.
14. Philip Rivers (LW: 15)
Rivers had his best game of the season last weekend. Against the overwhelmed Jaguars, the 37-year-old threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns on an absurd 14.3 YPA. Rivers might be played his last three games as a Charger this month, so soak it in.
13. Jared Goff (LW: 17)
For two straight weeks, Goff has looked like the quarterback who was in the MVP hunt early last season. The Rams have rolled the Cardinals and Seahawks, and Goff has been at the center of it alongside Todd Gurley and a rejuvenated defense. Good sign for both Goff and the Rams.
