NFL quarterback rankings, Week 15: Drew Lock beckons
Joe Montana Division
4. Drew Brees (LW: 4)
Brees was sublime on Sunday, even in defeat. The future first-ballot Hall of Famer totaled 349 yards and five touchdown passes, keeping New Orleans in the game throughout. Going into January, the Saints remain a top-tier threat due to Brees and his weapons.
3. Russell Wilson (LW: 3)
Wilson needs to have a strong finish to the season. The Seahawks are 10-3 but may need to win out for a division title and a bye week in the NFC playoffs. Thus far, Wilson has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign, throwing for 3,422 yards (8.2 YPA) and 26 touchdowns despite playing in a run-first offense.
2. Lamar Jackson (LW: 2)
Jackson had his second consecutive week of throwing issues. He only amassed 145 yards on 5.8 yards per attempt, but did hit on three scoring strikes to give him a league-best 28. Jackson also became the second quarterback in league history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, joining the exclusive club alongside Michael Vick.
1. Patrick Mahomes (LW: 1)
After a pair of underwhelming performances, Mahomes bounced back somewhat against the Patriots. In a 23-16 win, Mahomes threw for a touchdown and interception, but made multiple big-time throws including a 48-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman. All told, Mahomes has 21 touchdowns and 3,266 yards despite missing most of three games. He remains the standard.
