2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa lands with Chargers
By Brad Weiss
The Baltimore Ravens are the class of the AFC this season, and that is becoming more and more evident as the year wears on. Second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson has become one of the better players in the league, getting the job done with both his arm, and his legs, where he has over 1,000 yards rushing this season.
Not to be outdone, the Ravens defense has also stepped up big time this season, and that is very impressive considering they lost C.J. Mosley to free agency this offseason. Overall, the addition of Marcus Peters to the secondary has been huge, and with the AFC North title locked up, they can now set their sights on the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC.
Staying with the defensive side of the ball, the Ravens could use another edge rusher, and Curtis Weaver from Boise State could be available to them at No. 31 overall. Weaver is a special talent with great speed, and size, and you can believe this Ravens defense could find him a role where he could make an immediate impact at the NFL level.
The San Francisco 49ers are considered by many the most complete team in the NFL this season, thanks to the strong and consistent play they have shown in 2019. Jimmy Garoppolo is an absolute winner at quarterback, and the defense has been lights out, thanks to 2019 first rounder Nick Bosa coming off the edge.
With the final pick of the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the 49ers may choose to add the best player available, and that could be Dylan Moses from Alabama. Moses has the potential to drop significantly in this draft due to his torn ACL, and the 49ers would be waiting with open arms at No. 32.
There are only three games left for each NFL team in the 2019 NFL season, so hold on to your seats as we enter the playoff push. For the 49ers, this could end up being a magical season, and based on what we have seen, they have the talent on both sides of the ball to be the last team standing this year.
