Kansas City Chiefs: Week 10, at Tennessee Titans

A trendy Super Bowl pick before the season, the Kansas City Chiefs went through a bit of a rough patch in the middle of the season. An injury to Patrick Mahomes played a role in those struggles, but the Chiefs blew his first game back and it could come back to bite them.

That came back in Week 10, when the Chiefs went to Tennessee and lost 35-32 to the Titans. That contest launched the Titans on their second half surge, but it was very discouraging for the Chiefs, who wasted a performance where Mahomes threw for 446 yards and three touchdowns.

That loss could be the difference between the Chiefs having a first round bye or having to play on Wild Card weekend. Kansas City has a head-to-head tiebreaker on New England, but it won’t make much of a difference if they can’t make up the one-game deficit they face as a result of that Titans’ game.
