DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young put up 46.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Lakers, but I don’t have much faith in it happening again. I would rather use Ben Simmons against the Nets, who haven’t guarded the point well at all. Simmons flashed a ceiling game against the Pelicans with 55.25 DraftKings points, but he shot 15 times. What are the chances of that happening again?

Before you complain about not wanting to run Spencer Dinwiddie agaisnt the Sixers, he still hasn’t had under 38 DraftKings points with Kyrie out. If the shot isn’t falling, Dinwidde become distributor instead. He is such a versatile player that I pretty much trust him agianst anyone. I don’t think he has a ton of upside though.

Honorable Mention:

I plan on paying up at point simply because this middle tier feels like a place where dreams of takedowns go to die. A bad matchup for Jamal Murray and the Warriors will have me going either low or high here. This is a small slate, but I still don’t feel like we have to reach. There are plenty of good options elsewhere.

Dark Horse:

The entire Knicks situation is still a mess. The new staff is basically running open auditions and no one wants the job. Luckily, there are plenty of fairly safe options down here starting with Rajon Rondo. His ceiling is low, but if LeBron sits, a tornado takes the roof off. Rondo is a must-play if the King sits.

Cory Joseph has been a big disappointment with Fox out. Fox is still listed as doubtful here, but Joseph could go out with a bang against a slightly better, but still ping-pong ball hunting, Warriors team. $3,900 alleviates most of the risk.
