OLB. Hurricanes . Keyshawn Greene. 24. player. 834.

  • High School: Wakulla (Crawfordville, FL)
  • Composite Ranking: No. 155, No. 11 OLB

Up until a couple of weeks ago, it looked like outside linebacker commit Keyshawn Greene was set to join the Florida State Seminoles. However, he has decommitted from the program and re-opened his recruiting.

It makes sense with the Seminoles hiring a new coach and with this much transition for the program, Greene wants to make sure he’s making the decision that is best for him and his family.

In that time since decommitting from Florida State, Greene has made official visits to both Miami and Nebraska. He’s also received an in-home visit from Miami defensive coordinator Blake Baker, who would love to get the linebacker in the program.

At 6-foot-3 and somewhere around 200 pounds, Greene still has plenty to fill out but his speed is almost unmatched by any front-seven recruit. He has run a recorded a 4.49-40 and is going to use that to his advantage to get to the quarterback.

It would be tough for Florida State to lose him to rival Miami in the process. You can see how much the Hurricanes would love to add him to a class that already features two others at the position.

Prediction: Miami

. APB. Aggies . EJ Smith. 23. player. 873

  • High School: Jesuit (Dallas, TX)
  • Composite Ranking: No. 148, No. 3 APB

Now, if you want of the most interesting decisions to watch for on early National Signing Day, look no further than EJ Smith. The son of NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith will announce where he plans to run the ball in college

The 5-foot-11 all-purpose back could wind up going to Stanford, but the more interesting duo to watch is Texas A&M and Florida. We know that his dad was a legendary running back for Florida. It would make plenty of sense for Smith to be a Gator.

Florida doesn’t have a commit at the position yet either. Another wrinkle in the decision is that Smith’s sister is a Texas A&M Aggie. It also would be staying at home for the Jesuit product.

Will he choose his dad’s Alma mater? Or will he be the next child of the Hall of Famer to head to College Station? For the Aggies, getting another great all-purpose back like Smith to pair with their quarterback commit Haynes King would be something for Texas A&M fans to be excited about.

It’s fun to think about what Jimbo Fisher could potentially be building with this class. And if he does indeed choose Florida, then he’ll have a fan base behind him already. And if it is Stanford, then he goes to a school with a great history of his developing his position recently.

Prediction: Texas A&M
