Running Back deals:

1. Kenyan Drake, Arizona Cardinals – 39.1 pts for $6200

To anyone who played Kenyan Drake in week 15 against the Cleveland Browns in either FanDuel or season-long formats: congratulations. Drake was the top FanDuel running back at only the 31st highest salary at the position.

Drake’s four rushing touchdowns, en route to nearly 40 fantasy points, place him on a short list including Aaron Jones, Derrick Henry, and Doug Martin as the only active NFL players with four rushing TDs in a game.

Don’t expect anything similar next week, though, as the Arizona Cardinals’ back has only found the endzone five times so far this season (including his four last week).

2. Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys – 21.3 pts for $4800

The Dallas Cowboys’ rookie, backup running back went off this week, rushing for 131 yards and a TD, during garbage time of the team’s blowout win over the Los Angeles Rams.

After rushing for more than ten yards per carry once Dallas took a huge lead over the Rams, Tony Pollard ended up with a top-10 scoring week at his position out of the backfield.

He’ll play against a tough and physical Philadephlia Eagles’ defensive line next week, though, so like Drake it’s doubtful Pollard puts up the same numbers week 16 as he did on Sunday.

3. Mike Boone, Minnesota Vikings – 17.6 pts for $4500

Let’s be real here: pretty much nobody played Mike Boone in DFS this week. However, at the minimum salary of $4500, Boone far outperformed expectations once Minnesota’s starting running back Dalvin Cook by rushing for two TDs and 56 yards on only 13 attempts.

While his price should increase next week after Sunday’s big game, it is unlikely to increase enough to catch up with his potential opportunity as a lead-back if Cook remains out (as is likely) in week 16.
