DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

Brad Beal ($9,500): Beal is always in play because he is the Washington offense. Now with Hachimura out as well, who is going to score besides Beal and Bertans? It’s going to be really hard to move off of Beal for any reason for at least the rest of December. Beal is one of the few I would pay up for tonight.

Zach LaVine ($8,100): LaVine’s battered body hasn’t stopped him from destroying value on a regular basis. He has at least 40 DraftKings points in four of the last five games. I’d say that’s pretty much a given tonight against a Wizards team that just can’t keep anyone off the scoreboard.

Honorable Mention:

Jrue Holiday ($7,800): I can understand moving off of Holiday here since this is the second night of a back to back set and the first game went into overtime. Who knows, the Pelicans make take it out of our hands and rest people anyway. If Holiday is in there though, I want him. Minnesota’s defense is not good by any stretch. Holiday has at least 37 DraftKings points in five straight. Make it six here.

Andrew Wiggins ($7,600): The breakout season for Wiggins continues. I like him even more if Towns is held out, but even if the Timberwolves are at full strength, Wiggins has proven that he can be special. Wiggins did very well against the Clippers and Jazz, two very good teams. He should have no problems with the Pelicans.

Jaylen Brown ($6,700): Most games, Brown has been a beast with Smart out. Philly held him down, but Dallas is not Philly. Brown had at least 5x value in the five games prior. The price on Brown is a little tougher to pay right now, but his upside is as good as anyone else in this tier with Smart out.

Dark Horses:

Bruce Brown ($5,600): Brown may see a drop in production if Blake returns as planned. That may be exacerbated if Drummond returns from the avocado incident as well. Brown’s price is a major turn-off if Griffin and Drummond return. I still think he’ll be productive, but not at the rate he enjoyed with the biggest pieces of this offense sidelined. The same applies to Luke Kennard.

Josh Hart ($5,300): Hart put up a strong 32.75 DraftKings points on a pretty solid Magic team after he hit value against a good Philadelphia team. He followed those performances with a strong 28.75 against the Nets. Hart is seeing huge minutes, and likely will against Minnesota as well. I keep coming back to this game because there is a ton of fantasy potential, but Hart may be the best due to the low price.

Damion Lee ($3,900): It didn’t take long for Lee to regain the role he had before he got hurt back on November 11. Lee has 54 DraftKings points in 60 minutes over the last two games. He is super cheap against a Portland team that is rather soft defensively. He is my favorite value play of the night. His price is criminally low.
