Sell high on Draymond Green

Sell sell sell.

Seems somewhat counter intuitive to sell a guy you probably drafted in the third or fourth round and who is currently performing on the season as a 7th round player. But it is going to get worse.

Compared to the previous two guys listed, you are going to want to move Draymond ASAP.

He has played 8 of their last 10 games, with over 28 minutes in 5 of them, yet is still averaging less than 29 minutes a game on the season at the time of this writing. The last time Draymond averaged less than 30 minutes a game was all the way back in 2013-14. Scroll through is game logs for this season and you’ll notice a lot of minutes in the low twenties, or even teens, followed by a few sprinkles of “0.”

The Warriors are probably going to pull off a 1996-97 San Antonio Spurs move (David Robinson got hurt) and play really poorly for the rest of the season while gunning for a high lottery pick (a la Tim Duncan) in the upcoming draft to join an extremely talented team when healthy. There is very little incentive (apart from maybe ego and numbers?) for Draymond to play. No Steph. No Klay. Poor supporting cast and young bench.

Any small injury will likely be an excuse to sit out and rest come 2020. I think you have until January before we see his minutes take a greater dip, and more games are taken off as the Warriors look to forget about this season.

Guys I would be happy to trade for include Jeremy Lamb, Josh Richardson, maybe even Bertans (if you can get him), Harrell, Ingles, Ibaka, and dare I say, Aaron Gordan, to name a few.
