Scrubs

Alec Burks (vs MIN – $5,300 on DK; $5,600 on FD): Burks has been a solid contributor for the Warriors all season. The Timberwolves are weak against the position and this feels like a game where there will be plenty of offense. Burks can be that offensive jump starter for the Warriors, especially at the price he’s at.

Kent Bazemore (vs NO – $4,700 on DK; $4,800 on FD): The matchup is great for the Blazers and Bazemore has proven that he has a high ceiling. He’s inconsistent but the salary is very good and given the matchup and the minutes he typically receives, I trust his ceiling in this game. He’s probably not going to hurt you and with the lower salary, help you fill out the rest of your roster with some higher salary guys.

Aaron Gordon (vs CHI – $6,100 on DK; $6,100 on FD): I’m torn between Gordon and Isaac. It’s a good matchup either way as the Magic, an offensively challenged team, should be able to pick things up against the poor Bulls. Gordon is inconsistent but he’s shown that he can follow up one big game with another before dropping off. He’s coming off a big game.

Kevin Huerter (at CLE – $5,100 on DK; $5,400 on FD): Hueter lacks some consistency but he’s on the lower end when it comes to salary and the matchup against Cleveland is so good that I have to trust he’ll get plenty of scoring opportunities in this game. He’s veen playing very well as of late and he certainly isn’t going to hurt you at this salary and against this matchup.

Elfrid Payton (vs WAS – $5,100 on DK; $5,200 on FD): The Knicks should rarely be trusted but against the Wizards, you can trust the Knicks. Famous last words. Payton is all over the place this season but he was in the starting lineup last game and that turned out well for him. If he’s starting once again, you can take him with some confidence as he’ll get plenty of opportunities. Given the matchup, he should deliver.
