2020 NFL Mock Draft: Washington Redskins land Chase Young
By Brad Weiss
The Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a huge victory this past weekend, as they played host to the Dallas Cowboys with the NFC East on the line. The Eagles ran their record to 8-7 with the victory, and if they can take care of business in Week 17, they should walk into the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, and host a playoff game.
That is pretty impressive considering how up and down this Eagles season has been, but in 2020, they have to do things to address the biggest needs on the roster. One area where they should look to bring in some star power is at wide receiver, where a player like Laviska Shenault Jr. would be a great find this late in round one.
Shenault is not only one of the better wide receivers in college football, but he is also an elite return man, two areas where the Eagles have to improve next season. Carson Wentz is the guy at quarterback moving forward, but the Eagles need to give him more weapons in the passing game if he is going to become the quarterback the franchise is hoping he can be.
The Tennessee Titans have been one of the more pleasant surprises of the 2019 NFL season, as making a move at the quarterback position proved to be a stroke of genius. Ryan Tannehill has stepped in for Marcus Mariota and led this team to a ton of victories, and has them on the doorstep of clinching a playoff spot.
Tannehill is going to get a big contract this offseason, and the team appears to be set at the quarterback position for years to come. On the other side of the ball, the team needs to do something to get better on the defensive line, and that could mean bringing in one of the better and more complete defensive linemen in the draft class.
Raekwon Davis is a guy who is going to be a special player at the NFL level, as many believed he could have been a first round talent last year. He went back to school for another season, and did nothing to hurt his draft status, and on this Titans defensive line, he would be a major player in 2020.
