New England Patriots. Albert Okwuegbunam. 29. player. 47. . Tight End

The New England Patriots locked up the AFC East this past weekend, their 11th straight division title. New England has had their issues on the offensive side of the ball this season, and with a likely late round first round pick on the horizon, they may want to focus their attention there in 2020.

One area where they have been lacking this season is at tight end, where they have not been able to replace Rob Gronkowski this season, and for good reason. Gronkowski was one of the better tight ends in NFL history, and in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, they may look to add the best tight end available.

Albert Okwuegbunam is one of a handful of tight ends that could land in the first round next April, and he would be an excellent addition to this Patriots offense. While they have struggled on that side of the ball in 2019, they should be playoff ready when they take the field in two weeks, as they have once again clinched a first-round bye.

Curtis Weaver. 30. player. 15. . Edge. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are widely regarded by many as the No. 1 team in the NFC, but they are going to have to navigate a very tough NFC this playoff season. Quarterback Drew Brees has been setting records left and right over the past few seasons, and two weeks ago, he passed Peyton Manning as the NFL’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Saints need help at the edge rusher spot, and they could get a good one late in the first round in Curtis Weaver from Boise State. Weaver is a guy who is slowly starting to garner national attention, and once he shows out at the combine, he is going to be slated for the first round.

The Saints are much better on defense than they were a year ago, and it appears the window with Brees at quarterback will stay open a few more seasons. They could go the route of adding a potential successor for Brees this late in round one, but if they decide to roll the dice on Weaver, they will not be disappointed.
