1. Philadelphia Eagles

Week 16 brought the de facto NFC East title game, and the victory ended up going to the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite an injury-riddled receiving corps, the Eagles managed to make enough plays to take down the Dallas Cowboys to seize control of the division.

With just a week to go, the math is very simple for the Eagles. A win at MetLife Stadium on Sunday against the 4-11 New York Giants will clinch the NFC East and a first round playoff matchup against the loser of the NFC West.

This won’t be an easy game for the Eagles, who found themselves down 17-3 to the Giants at home back in Week 14 before rallying to win in overtime. Eli Manning started that game for the Giants, but Daniel Jones is back under center for New York fresh off a five touchdown performance in a win over the Washington Redskins.

The Giants enter this game winners of two straight, so there is a bit of momentum on New York’s side. We also saw what happened last week in MetLife Stadium when Philadelphia’s in-state rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, lost a brutal game to the Jets that could knock them out of the playoffs.

The Eagles enter this game banged up, with questions as to whether or not tight end Zach Ertz, right tackle Lane Johnson, or receiver Nelson Agholor will play. Dallas can still win the division if they beat the Redskins and the Eagles lose, making this game of vital importance for the Eagles, who rate as the team most in need of victory in Week 17.
