NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for December 26

Scrubs

Dennis Schroder (vs MEM – $6,600 on DK; $6,300 on FD): Schroder has been playing excellent basketball in recent weeks and he’s left to his own devices more than SGA and CP3 as he’s coming off the bench. Until he shows signs of slowing down, you can keep taking him and trust his consistency. He’s over the salary limit and maybe a tad too high on DraftKings but he remains at a great price on FanDuel.

Jalen Brunson (vs SA – $6,500 on DK; $6,000 on FD): Brunson is worth taking as long as Luka remains out. Like Schroder, he is at a very good price on FanDuel compared to DraftKings. With Luka out, Brunson is a top guard option for the Mavericks. I’m still not opposed to Hardaway Jr either given the amount of shots he is going to get.

Derrick Rose (vs WAS – $6,400 on DK; $5,800 on FD): The final member of the “better price on FanDuel” list. Even if Kennard ends up playing, Rose has shown a high ceiling all season and now he gets to go up against the Wizards. He should not only be in for a high scoring affair but also chip in with assists as well.

Taurean Prince (vs NY – $5,700 on DK; $4,800 on FD): Prince had a big outing against the Knicks the last time these two teams met and the Knicks are weak against the matchup. I expect DeAndre Jordan or Jarrett Allen to deliver a big outing as well, I’m just not sure which of the two will end up with that outing. Prince is far more reliable and has the same ceiling as both of the centers, making him the better take.

Marvin Bagley III (vs MIN – $5,300 on DK; $5,700 on FD): MB3 wasn’t great as member of the starting lineup in the last game. He still seems to be on a minutes restriction, which does hurt. And I like him better coming off the bench. But the price is good given the matchup and opportunities he gets on the Kings. I’m banking on last game just being an adjustment with the starters and feel he’ll be far more comfortable in this one.
