4. Tottenham put five past Norwich

Outside of Liverpool’s unbelievable consistency, almost every Premier League team’s form has been unpredictable this season. Tottenham certainly fits into this category but will look to make it two wins out of two this weekend after they came from behind to beat Brighton on Boxing Day.

This weekend, Spurs travel to face a Norwich side that is absolutely desperate for points as they sit rock bottom of the table. The Canaries haven’t won since the 23rd of November and although they’ve put in some good offensive performances, they’ve struggled defensively.

Daniel Farke’s side has conceded 38 goals in 19 games and doesn’t look like they can do anything to stop that number increasing. Tottenham shouldn’t have any trouble exploiting Norwich’s weak backline especially as they have Heung-Min Son back from suspension after his kick out at Antonio Rudiger last weekend.

The only way that Norwich can pick up points is by outplaying the opposition and scoring more goals than them. However, they’ve struggled to take their chances when on top in matches. Against Wolves last weekend they took the lead and were the much better side but could not double their advantage.

This inability to increase their lead came back to haunt them as Wolves came back to win that match and consign Norwich to another disappointing defeat. Jose Mourinho will more than fancy his side’s chances of taking all three points this weekend and it’s hard to see past any other result.

Son, Alli and Kane will all be on target this weekend as Spurs put five past Norwich. The Canaries will grab a late consolation but the game will end 5-1 and Daniel Farke will continue to wonder how he can keep this side in the Premier League.
