Top 10 NFL free agents for the 2020 offseason
2. QB Dak Prescott
It would be surprising if the Cowboys don’t get a deal done with Prescott, but he is without a contract for next season and stands as one of the top 2020 free agents right now. As a fourth-round pick and set to end the most productive season of his career with somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000 yards, he wants to and is set to get a contract toward the top of the quarterback market.
Prescott decided to be on himself and it worked out. Where he’ll wind up on the financial scale in terms of total and guaranteed money will be notable.
1. QB Tom Brady
Brady orchestrated his contract so that it voids after this season, which has brought plenty of speculation over where he might land if not back in New England next year. He hasn’t looked the same for much of this season at 42-years-old, but a depleted supporting cast has been a large driving force for that.
It would be a huge surprise to see Brady in anything other than a Patriots’ uniform to end his career, and frankly if the team wins anther Super Bowl this year there’s a better chance he retires than sign elsewhere. But he’s technically slated to be a free agent, and is an easy No. 1 on this list.
