DraftKings college football picks December 31

DraftKings college football running back picks December 31:
Top Tier:
The Texas run defense is a strength, so if I’m spending the kind of money needed to get Zack Moss, I’m going with Perry instead. Moss is the key to the Utah offense, and I think he’ll get enough carries, but Utah will have to attack Texas through the air. Moss is a capable receiver out of the backfield, but not enough to warrant paying this premium.
Utah’s run defense is even better than Wyoming’s. They allowed just 70.3 rushing yards per game this year. I like both Ingram and Tra Barnett, but I’m not paying up for either one here. Both quarterbacks of those teams are capable of attacking pass defenses that aren’t as strong.
Middle Tier:
Xazavian Valladay is by far my favorite running back on the slate. Williams has cut into his carries, but not enough for me to consider not using him. Georgia State’s run defense is the worst on the slate. Wyoming is going to carve them up on the ground and Valladay will be a big part of that.
It’s going to be either Perry or Jamale Carothers that has a huge game against Kansas State. That said, Carothers still picked up 22 carries in the win over Army despite the monster from Perry. They can co-exist just fine. I really like Carothers for this price.
Bargain Shoppers:
The bargain basement isn’t actually a basement on this slate. With Akers and Benjamin, all we have to do is identify who will get the bulk of the carries. Simple, right? In Arizona State’s case, maybe. A.J. Carter had 15 carries backing up Benjamin. Isaiah Floyd had 11 carries, but they were both in the first two weeks. Carter should get the bulk of the carries.
For Florida State, Khalan Laborn was supposed to carry the load, but he will also miss the game. That leaves Deonte Sheffield as the only other back on the team with a carry this year. I like Sheffield quite a bit here, though I do think Florida State is going to throw more. Both are low risk options considering the low prices.
