DraftKings college football wide receiver picks December 31:

Top Tier:

Devin Duvernay trailed only James Proche in receptions this year. He’s an autoplay no matter who the opponent. The return of Collin Johnson makes the Texas offense much more potent. That limits Duvernay some, but he’s still the safest option of the bunch. I do like Johnson as a GPP option and am not opposed to using both in the same lineup. There’s enough value at RB to play whoever you want.

If Florida State is indeed going to throw more, it should mean a monster game for Tamorrion Terry. Terry closed the season strong with 377 of his 1,023 receiving yards in the last three games alone. Working exclusively with Blackman leading up to this game can only help as well. Terry may be my favorite receiver on the entire slate.

Middle Tier:

Frank Darby, come on down! You are now Arizona State’s star receiver. He doesn’t have the gamebreaking ability of Aiyuk, but Darby was a really good Robin all year. I’m excited to see what he can do now that he’s Batman!

When Georgia State started throwing more, Cornelius McCoy became a larger part of the offense. He hauled in 14 passes for 142 yards in the last two games for the Panthers. He hasn’t caught a touchdown since week 7 and only has four on the season, so his upside is capped. He may break out in the bowl game, but I would think Devin Gentry is the one most likely to do that. Aside from that, Gentry is just $3,800. If you need more value, there you go!

Wide receiver was kind of a sore spot for Utah all season. Covey was never a factor as he was assumed to be. Siaosi Mariner transferred out. That left a hodgepodge and no one that was truly reliable. Brant Kuithe was the best down the stretch, but Oregon succeeded at taking him out of the game. Texas can as well. I think one Utah receiver will have a good game, I just don’t know who. Samson Nacua probably has the most upside. Bryan Thompson sees the most targets aside from Moss

Bargain Shoppers:

Kyle Williams is the most likely to be Robin now that Frank Darby is Batman. His price is appealing enough, but I think Daniels is going to do most of the work himself. I like using him with Darby but I see Williams as a big risk.

Tre’Shaun Harrison has six catches for 131 yards over the last two games. No one has stepped up alongside Terry, but Harrison seems to be developing with Blackman. He’s a decent dart throw if you blew your money at QB.
