Los Angeles Lakers: Find a third banana

The Los Angeles Lakers‘ three leading scorers are as follows: Anthony Davis at 27.3 points per game, LeBron James at 25.1 points per game and Kyle Kuzma at … 11.9 points per game. Having two guys combine for 50-plus every night is a great luxury, but only having three guys in double figures is not.

To this point, the Lakers have impressed with their elite defense, the LeBron-AD pick-and-roll punch and a well-rounded offense buoyed by plenty of depth and okay perimeter shooting.

But will that last in the postseason? Can Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley prove themselves when games get tight and defenses force them to make big shots? Kyle Kuzma’s gotten off to a shaky start returning from injury, but if he can assume that tertiary scoring role who takes pressure of James and Davis to do so much heavy lifting, the Lakers will become even more dangerous.
