31. player. 42. . Cornerback. San Francisco 49ers. Paulson Adebo

The San Francisco 49ers needed every second of their regular season to lock up the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which they accomplished on Sunday night. Jimmy Garoppolo is proving once again to just be a winner at the NFL level, and the 49ers head into the playoffs with the NFC going through their building.

While having the No. 1 overall seed is nice, now the 49ers have to get down to business, and the NFC was by far the better conference in the NFL this season. They have the pieces on both sides of the ball to make a deep run, and based on that, they will hold the No. 31 overall selection in next year’s draft.

With that pick, the 49ers should bring in a guy to help bolster the secondary, especially with Richard Sherman getting up there in age at cornerback. A player like Pauslon Adebo could come right in and learn from Sherman, and playing at Stanford, he would have a legion of fans waiting to see him make impact plays every Sunday.

player. 26. . Running Back. Baltimore Ravens. D'Andre Swift. 32

The No. 1 overall seed in the AFC is the Baltimore Ravens, who rode the arm, and legs of star quarterback Lamar Jackson all season long. Jackson is the likely Most Valuable Player for the NFL this season, as he has proven that he is not only an NFL quarterback, but also one of the best in the game.

With their first round pick in 2020, the Ravens will be picking very late in round one, and possibly at the end if they win the Super Bowl. With that pick, they should look to get younger at running back, and D’Andre Swift from Georgia would be a perfect fit, as he could come in and play behind Mark Ingram, who has been an excellent addition to this offense in 2019.

Sit back and enjoy the Wild Card round this weekend, as teams look to punch their tickets to the Divisional Round. The Ravens will be waiting for their next opponent, and the fact that the AFC Playoffs run through M&T Bank Stadium has to be a scary thought to the rest of the division.
