Women’s Division

No. 1 — RIHO

The AEW Women’s World Champion had her first match in a while (she had been in Japan defending her other title). RIHO defended her title against Nyla Rose, Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker. Though Nyla Rose terrorized RIHO most of the match, she was able to retain when she rolled up Baker for the pin.

After the match, an angry Nyla put the champion on a table before jumping off the top rope, causing RIHO to crash through it.

No. 2 — Nyla Rose

“The Native Beast” dominated the women’s match. She took her frustrations out on all of her opponents. Last year, Nyla was suspended by AEW for putting Shanna and referee Rick Knox through a table. Nyla didn’t seem to learn her lesson as she put RIHO through a table after losing the match.

No. 3 — Britt Baker

Baker nearly beat RIHO with the Lockjaw submission to become the new women’s champion. RIHO escaped and pinned her. Later in the show when RIHO was being interviewed, Baker interrupted to let her know that she can balance her jobs as a wrestler and a dentist, so RIHO should be able to balance better and actually be in AEW more often. She also claims that RIHO stole the championship for her.

No. 4 — Hikaru Shida

Shida was the former No. 1 contender until Kris Statlander surpassed her in wins. Shida nearly won when she suplexed RIHO onto Nyla. She was hit with a Superkick by Baker, who then put her in the Lockjaw submission. When Shida escaped, it allowed RIHO to pin Baker.

No. 5 — Penelope Ford

“The Bad Girl” interrupted ex-boyfriend Joey Janela’s interview with a low blow. This incident has carried over to Twitter between the pair and Ford’s current boyfriend, Kip Sabian. Things seem to be heating up with Ford stirring the pot.
