11. Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans

2019 Recap: The one-time Miami Dolphins’ signal-caller didn’t play the first five games with his new team this season. He took over for Marcus Mariota in what proved to be a 16-0 loss at Denver and would take over as the starter the next week vs. the Chargers. And in the team’s final 10 outings, he threw 22 TD passes compared to only five interceptions. Add in four rushing touchdowns and only three lost fumbles and Tannehill brought health and stability to a unit that finished the season with 50 offensive touchdowns – 39 during the club’s 7-3 finish. He is certainly in the conversation for NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Postseason Pedigree: You will recall that it was Matt Moore, who took the 2016 Dolphins into the playoffs and not Tannehill. Which means the veteran performer will be making his first postseason start, albeit in very familiar surroundings. Tannehill has made six trips to Foxborough and never beat the Patriots there.

Analysis: In 2016, Tannehill missed Miami’s stretch playoff run and went onto miss the following season altogether. The trade to the Titans this offseason didn’t get that much attention. However, he’s now a big reason the Titans are back in the playoffs for the second time in three years. Can he solve the Patriots?
