10. Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles

2019 Recap: Much has been made of the team’s issues with injuries in regards to the skill positions. And the fourth-year signal-caller made the best of the situation. Wentz was not without his own problems. In the team’s first six outings, he was picked off three times and did not put the ball on the ground. In the club’s final 10 contests, the talented performer threw four interceptions and lost seven of his 14 fumbles. Still, he managed to throw for an impressive 4,049 yards and 27 scores with 10 different players catching at least 10 passes and none of them totaling at least 1,000 receiving yards. Quite the story of resiliency.

Postseason Pedigree: The Eagles are in the playoffs for the third consecutive season under head coach Doug Pederson. But Wentz will be making his first NFL postseason start as he was unavailable during Philadelphia’s last two playoff runs. He and the team take a four-game winning streak into Sunday.

Analysis: Can Doug Pederson’s four-year quarterback continue to carry the load for this team? The healthy issues for the Eagles are hard to ignore. But this is a savvy club led by a gritty quarterback that is learning how to scratch out wins. It will be interesting to see how far Wentz and the Birds can go in 2019.
