4. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are in line to draft a quarterback in April, and there’s a decent chance they bring Ryan Fitzpatrick as a one-year bridge. They are also not necessarily close to being a legit playoff contender, and some of Brady’s worst games have come in Miami. So this is all about coaching ties.

Starting with head coach Brian Flores, who was in the Patriots’ organization from 2004-2018 as a scout all the way up to defensive coordinator, Miami’s coaching staff has New England roots. Here’s at some former Patriots’ assistants currently with the Dolphins:

Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham
Cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer
Tight Ends coach George Godsey
Assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski

So Brady knows some of Miami’s coaches, and even likely worked fairly closely with one in Schuplinski. Facing the Patriots twice a year may also appeal to him, if his exit from New England is not as clean as it could or would be expected to be.

The odd of Brady landing in South Beach are inherently slim. But the possibility is there, as much as such things can be seriously considered.
