DraftKings PGA – 2020 Sony Open Values

8,000 Andrew Putnam

Putnam is my favorite Par-70 golfer in the field. I have stated this before, but it is not something to take lightly. Par 4’s are difficult. Some guys just putt better than the rest of the field. It is a travesty that he is priced 8K in this field. Putnam played excellent golf in 2019, especially at this course. He finished solo 2nd and has not missed a cut here since 2015.

7,000 Kyle Stanley

Kyle Stanley at 7K is a tremendous value! He struggled at times during his 2019 campaign, but he remains as one of the premier ball-strikers on the PGA Tour. I am confident he hits value at this price-tag. He keeps the ball in the fairway, dials in on approach, and does not bleed strokes on the green. This kid is going to win an event this year, and I see no reason it cannot be this one. In 4 appearances at the Sony Open, Stanley is 4/4 in made cuts with a T22, T10, T36 and T13.

6,700 Chris Kirk

Kirk is an elite ball-striker that missed much  of the 2019 PGA Tour season rehabilitating addiction issues. Expect him to be recharged and focused in 2020. And he will do it at a course that sets up very well for him. Kirk has 3 top-10 finishes at the Sony Open since 2013. He missed the cut in 2019, but finished T10 in 2018. Kirk sets up brilliantly for this course, as he is exceptional on approach and can get the putter rolling from time to time.
