Running Back. Miami Dolphins. Jonathan Taylor. 27. player. 59.

The Miami Dolphins will round out their 2020 NFL Draft first round with the Houston Texans’ draft pick, a selection they got for offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil. With this selection, the Dolphins should look to bring in one of the better running backs in this draft class, and Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor has already declared early for the draft.

Taylor had a record-setting career with the Badgers, and leaves the program as their all-time leading rusher. For the Dolphins, he would fill an immediate need at running back, and of the team is going to roll with a rookie quarterback in 2020, or even with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick again, they have to get better at this position moving forward.

Miami played extremely well down the stretch in 2020, and that should give the fan base hope that Brian Flores is the right guy to steer this ship moving forward. He is doing a nice job of changing the culture in South Beach, and bringing in a workhorse of a running back like Taylor would give their offense some good balance next season.

28. player. 36. . Safety. Seattle Seahawks. Xavier McKinney

The Seattle Seahawks took care of business on the road in the Wild Card round on Sunday, capping off a weekend of upset in the playoffs. Seattle had to go into Lincoln Financial to beat the Philadelphia Eagles, and were aided by the fact that Carson Wentz had to leave the game due to a concussion early in the first half.

Wentz injury or no, the Seahawks are moving on, and anytime you have Russell Wilson under center, you hold a distinct advantage over your competition. As the Seahawks continue their run towards a possible Super Bowl berth, they will see this pick get later and later in round one, but they should still be able to get an elite player in Xavier McKinney.

The safety from Alabama has already declared for the 2020 NFL Draft, and he would join a Seahawks secondary that has struggled at safety since Earl Thomas left. The defense stepped up in a big way on Sunday, and if they play the way they did against Josh McCown and the Eagles in Wild Card round, they are going to be a hard out in the NFC.
