Detroit Lions. Andrew Thomas. 3. player. 50. . Offensive Tackle

The Detroit Lions are another team that is in a great spot heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, as they do not have a need for a quarterback, and have teams behind them who do. They could certainly trade this pick away to either the Miami Dolphins or Los Angeles Chargers, but if they do stay here, they may want to add the best offensive lineman in this draft class.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has had to deal with his fair share of injuries over his career, which makes grabbing Andrew Thomas from Georgia a smart pick at No. 3 overall. Many believe that Thomas is going to be a franchise left tackle from the start at the NFL level, and the Lions could certainly afford to invest this pick in their top priority.

There is no telling how many years they have with Stafford, who is one of the more statistically productive quarterbacks in the league when healthy. While trading this pick away is definitely a possibility, Thomas is also going to be a special player in the NFL, and the Lions are a few pieces away from being very competitive in the NFC North.

Offensive Lineman. New York Giants. Jedrick Wills Jr.. 4. player. 31.

The New York Giants found their quarterback during the 2019 NFL Draft, bringing in Duke’s Daniel Jones to replace legend Eli Manning. While Manning started the year for the G-Men, Jones is the one who finished it, and he looked very capable of taking over for the two-time Super Bowl winner moving forward.

Head coach Pat Shurmur has already been fired by the team, and many believe they will go hard after Baylor coach Matt Rhule to take over the reins. Whoever takes over for Shurmur has to do something about this offensive line, so while this may be a reach with Jedrick Wills Jr., he is also a guy who can come in and start right away.

This organization spent a ton of money on offensive tackle Nate Solder, and it just has not worked out the way they have wanted it to. Wills could come right in and start on the left side for the Giants, moving Solder over to the right side, giving Jones a much better offensive line in front of him in Year No. 2.
