DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

Mike James has four straight rounds of over 40 DraftKings points and the best matchup for guards today. He is totally worth the $900 more than Lorenzo Brown, but I am running both of them together at least once. There is good enough value on this slate to not have to choose between the two. If you don’t want to reach for value, you can run Billy Baron with Brown and not lose much. That may be worth the $3,000 savings with the way the Belgrade backcourt is playing.

Vassilis Spanoulis just became the EuroLeague’s all-time leading scorer. Does that mean he should be on your squad? I can’t argue against it. Spanoulis put up 31.5 DraftKings points in the first game against Valencia.

There are a lot of bad matchups for guards outside of the upper tier today. Why pay top dollar for an Efes guard against Barcelona, who has allowed the fewest fantasy points to guards this year? I would much rather go with Spanoulis in a favorable matchup or pay less for some of the value plays. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of Simon, Larkin, Micic and Delaney. I’ve used them several times this year. I just think they are overpriced today.

At this point, Sam Van Rossom should be 100% owned. There is no reason not to use him. Van Rossom has at least 17 DraftKings points in every round he has played since October 16. As Steve Miller said, “take the money and run.”

Someone has to absorb all of the minutes vacated by Daniel Hackett and Strelnieks. It should be Darrun Hilliard who gets a bulk of the minutes, but Wichita State product Ron Baker could work his way into a larger role as well.

If you are punting both G slots and the UTIL slot, Taylor Rochestie is still a solid value. That said, I wouldn’t use him over Hilliard or Van Rossom. That should be enough value to get all of the forwards that you want.
