Scrubs

Brook Lopez (at POR – $5,400 on DK; $5,500 on FD): There’s some value on the Bucks given the matchup and Lopez provides a lot of that value with his rebounding and scoring. The Blazers offer little inside with their defense and Lopez and stretch them and beat them up. He’ll get you value if nothing else and the ceiling is high with the matchup.

Thaddeus Young (at DET – $6,000 on DK; $5,800 on FD): Young may or may not start but it really doesn’t matter. He’s going to get the minutes and opportunities given Carter out of the lineup. The Pistons are weak against the position and just weak overall. Meanwhile, Young is giving the Bulls consistent minutes and can do a bit of everything when he’s on. He’ll be on in this one.

Dennis Schroder (vs LAL – $5,600 on DK; $5,500 on FD): Schroder has slipped a little but remains a consistent option, especially with the price drop. The loss of Noel is what’s hurt since Muscala is not a good replacement. But the Lakers are on a back to back and Schroeder’s energy off the bench could hurt them in a big way.

Dwight Powell (vs PHI – $4,900 on DK; $5,300 on FD): The Sixers aren’t better without Embiid but they play different and can still give problems down low and defensively. But Powell is at a great salary and has a consistent option with Porzingis out of the lineup. And the Sixers have shown so much inconstancy this year that putting too much stock in the Boston performance seems foolish.

Jerami Grant (vs CLE – $4,900 on DK; $4,000 on FD): If Grant is going to start once again in place of Millsap then he remains a great option. He can contribute in different areas and pick up some value by chipping in on defense. It’s a great matchup and as a starter, with the minutes he gets and the salary, he should deliver big.
