DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

Zach LaVine ($8,500): LaVine put up 52.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Boston. He has also not been below 42 DraftKings points in the month of January. There’s always some caution with LaVine. He can go cold at any moment. However, his floor seems to be a lot higher than in previous years.

Jrue Holiday ($7,600): Holiday had a nice game against Detroit the first time around, but an elbow injury is nothing to mess around with. Especially when the elbow in question is attached to the highest volume shooter on the team. If Holiday is back, it could mess with Ball’s production too. I still like Ball regardless, but Holiday’s price is decent enough to consider.

Honorable Mention:

Terry Rozier ($7,100): Rozier had his worst game of the season last night, and of course, I was heavily invested. This is a great bounce-back oppotunity for Rozier with Portland on tap for tonight. I would also think that ownership will be much lower than normal. He destroyed a lot of lineups last night.

Derrick Rose ($6,700): I don’t like paying this much for Rose, but it’s hard to say that he’s not worth it. Rose has at least 32 DraftKings points in every game with Blake out. He put up 36.75 DraftKings points in the first game against the Pelicans. Rose is a safe play here, but his upside is capped since he comes off the bench.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($6,300): The price of the Thunder guards is down to the point where they could all be worth using again. I particularly like the matchup with the Timberwolves. We saw SGA put up 39.25 DraftKings points against them the first time around, so there’s good upside.

Dark Horses:

Collin Sexton ($5,500): When someone puts up 31.75 DraftKings points on Denver, we need to take notice. They are very good against guards in particular. Sexton has at least 5x value for this price in each of the last 15 games. Sexton is priced for his floor, which makes him a strong play in any format.

Jarrett Culver ($4,800): The Timberwolves rotation has changed a little since the first meeting. It was Teague that went nuts on the Thunder the first time around. It could be Culver here since he is starting at point guard. Of course, Teague may just do it again off the bench. Neither are bad plays, but I prefer Culver as the starter.
