DraftKings PGA: The American Express Picks

10,500 Tony Finau

Finau is a world class player that has not played since the President’s Cup. He will be itching to get back on the course this week. I expect his ownership to be slightly reduced due to his soft schedule the last couple of months. He has all the tools to excel at this setup. He mashes it off the tee and is solid with his irons. Finau last played this event in 2016 and missed the cut. He is a different golfer now.

10,100 Charles Howell III

CH3 is a stud on the West Coast Swing, as you saw at the Sony. I will back the veteran again this week. He does everything that you want of a top salary golfer. He consistently makes cuts, he finds the top-10 with frequency, and he is an above average DK scorer versus his finish. Again this week, CH3 pops in T2G, DK Points, and wedge proximity. In his past 5 tries at this event, CH3 is 5/5 in made cuts with 3 top-20 finishes. With the field as it is, I trust CH3 to deliver a solid finish.

8,400 Alexander Noren

Noren ranks second in my model this week. He is striping his irons (15th in the field in SG:Approach), bombing his driver (46th in DD but 5th in SG OTT), and we all know how good of a putter he is. Noren finished T32 at the Sony while losing 3.8 strokes with his putter. Give me that regression. I am rolling with Noren this week!
