DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Russell Westbrook ($9,600): Russ went berserk on Portland the first time around. While Harden still hit value in that game, he was 15 DraftKings points below Russ. Harden is still a good play, but this feels like a game that a well-rested Russ dominates. Besides, CJ is a better defender than Lillard.

Damian Lillard ($9,000): Dame wasn’t all that great against Houston the first time, but this is still a prime matchup for him. We saw Lillard have one of his better games in a while against Charlotte on Monday. Unfortunately, that moved his price a little beyond my comfort zone. I think Russ is enough better that I’m just going to pay for him.

Honorable Mention:

Ben Simmons ($8,700): Simmons’ numbers have crept up a little with Embiid out, but not to the point that we’re used to. Still, the price is manageable, so why complain? He still flirts with a triple-double nearly every night and the scoring is up. Simmons is arguably the safest play at the point tonight.

Kyle Lowry ($8,200): Siakam is back, but that’s not who steals Lowry’s stats. That’s VanVleet, who is still out. Lowry could have a very nice game for the price tonight. The return of Siakam actually helped out Lowry’s assist numbers, so his chances of hitting value increase if anything with Siakam on the court.

Malcolm Brogdon ($6,700): Brogdon had a nice return after a two week absence, putting up 46.25 DraftKings points against Philly on Monday. Now he gets a Minnesota team that is rather shoddy defensively. I think it’s safe to say that Brogdon’s back and throat are just fine, thank you.

Dark Horses:

Kendrick Nunn ($5,100): Who can you trust, Dragic or Nunn? Dragic is higher priced and has a higher floor. Nunn appears to have hit the rookie wall, but he put up a strong 29 DraftKings points on the Knicks on Sunday. The middle tier of point guard is tough tonight. Nunn has more upside than most, but the floor is a bit worrisome.

Jarrett Culver ($4,800): Napier had the better game on Monday, but that definitely seems to be the outlier. Culver has at least 5x value in five straight games and seven of the last eight. I’ll stick with the more proven commodity of Culver, at a cheaper price, no less.

Alex Caruso ($4,000): Rondo is going to be out for at least a week, so that leaves a heap of minutes wide open for Caruso. His price is elevated in anticipation of this. I would like to see how the production goes first, but this is a slate where we need value. He can’t be any worse than Okobo last night.
