NFL DFS – FantasyDraft Best Plays – Wide Receiver

Core Plays

Davante Adams ($15.2k)

Speaking of studs, Adams is another player you should think twice about before fading – even in what seems like a stay-away matchup against the 49ers. The Rodgers-Adams connection has been clicking at an elite level over the past four games, as the two-time Pro Bowler has averaged a whopping 28.5 FPPG. He posted monster numbers against Seattle, catching eight balls for 180 yards and two scores. He’s matchup-proof at this point and if Green Bay wants to overcome the tall task of defeating the Niners on the road, they’ll need their top wideout to continue his dominant stretch.

Tyreek Hill ($13.6k)

Now that Hill has gone three straight games of under 13 fantasy points, you’ve got to think an explosion is just over the horizon. The Cheetah had a rocky start to his postseason in the Divisional Round, muffing a punt return and exiting the game at one point (although he returned on the next drive) while posting just 6.5 fantasy points. His price has now dropped to a point that makes him an intriguing target as he is still Mahomes’ go-to pass-catcher aside from Kelce. He’s not someone I’d rely on in cash games, but his immense ceiling makes him a great tournament play being that he should come into this slate at a low ownership.

Value Plays

Sammy Watkins ($9.1k)

Watkins has been extremely underwhelming this season after a three touchdown outburst and Week 1. However, he managed to top 10 fantasy points last week versus the Texans for the first time since Week 10. While he only had two receptions, he was still able to flash his game-changing type of speed. If you’re going to make the “stars and scrubs” lineup build work, you’ll need some low-priced targets. Watkins is an ideal salary-saver who can get you 15+ points playing on Kansas City’s prolific offense. If you need further context, look back to the Chiefs’ regular-season game against Tennessee, where Watkins was a central part of his team’s game plan being targeted nine times.

Corey Davis ($7.6k)

This pick is beginning to scrape the bottom of the barrel, but in what could be a high-scoring affair, Davis makes sense as minimal-priced dart-throw. He was the only Titans’ WR to catch a touchdown pass last week, and while Tannehill only threw the ball 14 times, they’ll likely need more production through the air to keep up with the high-flying Chiefs’ offense. Kansas City has been rock-solid against enemy wideouts, giving up just 28.2 FPPG to the position, but most of their attention should be focused on rookie standout A.J. Brown (10.2k). With Brown struggling (just two catches in the playoffs), this could open up more opportunity for Davis.
