NFL DFS – FantasyDraft Best Plays – D/ST

Core Plays

San Francisco 49ers ($5.7k)

The Niners’ defense is the obvious top play on this small, two-game DFS slate, but they’ll cost you a pretty penny. While they aren’t the highest-priced unit on the slate (Chiefs D/ST is $6.4k), they’re as safe of a bet as anyone. If you’ve followed my articles, you know I like to pay as little as possible at this spot to allow more roster flexibility. However, if you want the safe bet, roll with San Francisco, who should be able to greatly limit Aaron Jones (13.9k) and Green Bay’s ground-game while getting you a handful of sacks.

Value Plays

Tennessee Titans ($4.2k)

Last week, I went with the bold strategy of stating the Texans D/ST who were the cheapest group on the slate and it paid off by not sinking my lineups with seven fantasy points. While they gave up a ton of yards and points, they made up for it with turnovers and a defensive TD. The Titans ranked in the top-half of the league during the regular season in sacks, an area where Kansas City has struggled mightily. They won’t win you any tournaments, but could keep your lineup afloat at bottom dollar.
