Duds

Ben Simmons (vs CHI – $9,300 on DK; $9,200 on FD): Simmons is always a triple double threat, especially with Embiid out of the lineup. But the Bulls defense is legit and Simmons lack of shooting can give him issues. It’s a high salary for a guy whose ceiling I’m worried about in his matchup.

Jimmy Butler (at OKC – $7,800 on DK; $8,700 on FD): Butler has a high ceiling but this doesn’t feel like his matchup. He’s going to be guarded be a very good Terrence Ferguson and there are better matchups for Miami with OKC potentially having a lack of bigs. Butler might not hurt you but there’s better value on his own team.

Bradley Beal (at TOR – $7,600 on DK; $7,500 on FD): Beal has the highest ceiling on the Wizards but as I’ve said with them, injuries changes the dynamic and Beal won’t get his quite as often. His salary has lowered but this is a tough matchup against a now healthy Raptors squad. Maybe this is where he decides to takeover but there are no guarantees.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (vs MIA – $7,400 on DK; $7,200 on FD): Shai continues to impress but without Adams and Noel setting screens, it makes his life a little more difficult. And the Miami defense is outstanding. There will be extra rebounding opportunities which is certainly a good thing. But the scoring and passing might be down and his salary is a tad too high.

Serge Ibaka (vs WAS – $7,300 on DK; $6,500 on FD): With the Raptors getting healthy, Ibaka’s ceiling gets lowered. But he remains at a high salary. The matchup is great and that’s what could keep him around value. But with Gasol and Siakam back, Ibaka’s opportunities go down. The matchup is appealing but the circumstances are not.
