DraftKings NBA Guards:

Guard is actually kind of difficult today. The logical thing would be to exploit the Denver injuries, but the Pacers are top five against shooting guards and Denver is top five against the point. However, with Murray out, I think we could see a good game from Malcolm Brogdon. On the flip side of this, Monte Morris is starting for Denver, but is far more effective off the bench. He has struggled as a starter. Take that for what it’s worth.

The place to attack here seems like the Spurs. They are by far the worst team in the slate against point guards. Surprisingly, only Indiana is in the top 12 of the league against shooting guards. We can run two guards that primarily play off the ball out there to try and exploit matchups.

The Heat point guard situation is always a bit in flux, but Kendrick Nunn should be a lock today. He put up 48.25 DraftKings points on the Spurs on Wednesday in Miami. He may not do quite that well in San Antonio, but he should clear 6x value with relative ease.

On a small slate I have no issue running Dragic out there with him, but he only had 26.75 DraftKings points against the Spurs on Wednesday. Still, that’s above 5x value, and likely good enough on this slate.

Honestly, I prefer Derrick White starting for the Spurs even in a difficult matchup. If Murray winds up playing, I’m using either Dragic or another SG instead.

DeMar DeRozan‘s price is getting out of control, but he lit up the Heat for 49.75 DraftKings points on Wednesday and broke 50 twice this week. Lock him in with Nunn. Why mess with the inconsistency of Butler?

To fill the G slot, many of you are going to want to chase WIll Barton or Malik Beasley. Just because they torched the Warriors doesn’t mean they’ll be successful against the Pacers. I would rather run Brogdon against them. If you can’t afford that, run Dragic or Aaron Holiday if Lamb winds up sitting.
