2020 NFL mock draft: Miami Dolphins trade up for Tua Tagovailoa

Wide Receiver. Denver Broncos. Tee Higgins. 15. player. 45.

The Denver Broncos selected Drew Lock in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and they just may have found something in the former Missouri quarterback. Lock led the Broncos to wins in four of their last five games, and entering 2020, the team finally will not have to be in the market for a new signal-caller.

Looking at their offense, there is a lot to like about this Broncos team, but they have to add some more talent at the wide receiver position. Courtland Sutton is a fine young player, and if the team goes out and selected Tee Higgins with the No. 15 overall pick, they would have a young, dynamic duo on the outside for years to come.

Of course, you never know if John Elway is satisified with the quarterback position, but Lock appeared poised late in the season. Putting weapons around him is the right play at this point in his career, and after a seven-win season, the Broncos could be a playoff contender in 2020.

Atlanta Falcons. K'Lavon Chaisson. 16. player. 44. . Edge

Sure, it took the Atlanta Falcons winning their last four games to salvage a terrible season, and in the process, save head coach Dan Quinn’s job, but that is what they did. Heading into 2020, you have to think the expectations will rise for this franchise, who recently represented the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Offensively, the Falcons have enough talent to challenge in the NFC South next season, but do they really have enough talent to corral the explosive offenses in the conference on the other side of the ball. If they want to get better on defense in 2020, they have to improve their pass rush, which is crazy considering they once had a solid young tandem in Takkarist McKinley and Vic Beasley Jr.

Beasley is entering free agency, and the team would be wise to replace him with a talent like LSU’s K’Lavon Chaisson. This is a guy with a very high motor, and after struggling to get after the quarterback during the 2019 season, it would not surprise me at all if they used another first rounder on the edge spot this April.
