WWE Monday Night Raw Power Rankings: Jan. 22
Top 10 men
1. Brock Lesnar
How rare is it that we see WWE Champion Brock Lesnar three consecutive weeks to start the year? Bad news for Ricochet, who found out what happens when you call him scared.
2. Buddy Murphy
If it weren’t for an appearance from the WWE Champion, Buddy Murphy would top this week’s rankings. Winning the Raw Tag Team Championship is a huge step for the “best kept secret” in WWE.
3. Drew McIntyre
This version of Drew McIntyre may be the best he’s ever looked. And getting into a brawl with Randy Orton is either going to make you better or make you disappear. He should be more than able to hang with Orton/
4. Aleister Black
After an incredible feud with Buddy Murphy, the master of the Black Mass obliterated a local competitor in mere seconds. Black must have been taking notes from UFC star Conor McGregor after his 40-second win on Saturday night.
5. Andrade
Let it be known, the United States Champion is here to stay. But after overcoming Rey Mysterio in a ladder match, it appears like Andrade has another issue to settle — Humberto Carrillo.
6. Rey Mysterio
It’s been a roller coaster few months for the masked legend. From playing hot potato with the United States Championship, to contemplating retirement, Mysterio has remained resilient. But losing the ladder match this week costs him a higher spot.
7. Erick Rowan
After weeks of not showing off whatever is in that cage, he’s found himself getting attacked by it two weeks in a row. The problem with that, is it enraged the former Wyatt family member, and he plowed through Matt Hardy.
8. Ricochet
On one hand, we give props to Ricochet for stepping up to Brock Lesnar and even calling him out. But on the other hand, he questioned the guts of the WWE Champion and received a direct kick to the groin for his efforts.
9. Randy Orton
The Viper has a history of not making many friends, the latest example being Drew McIntyre. After a no-contest finish to Monday’s match with McIntyre, Orton now has to deal with him on Sunday at the Royal Rumble.
10. Matt Hardy
In the grand scheme of things, Matt Hardy will be remembered as one of the biggest tag team specialists of the Attitude Era. But since his return to WWE recently, he’s had a disheartening run of bad luck, and it continued this week.
