Duds

Karl-Anthony Towns (vs HOU – $10,200 on DK; $9,800 on FD): Towns looked more like himself in the last game but this is a tough matchup for him. There was a time when Towns would absolutely dominate the Rockets, but things turned in the playoff series and I’m not sure this is a trustworthy matchup for him like it used to be. And this is a high salary to not get guaranteed value out of.

De’Aaron Fox (at CHI – $8,100 on DK; $7,900 on FD): Fox is inconsistent and the Bulls are very good against the position. He can do a bit of everything but I’m not fully sold on him at this salary. There are better players with better matchups below him that you should look to take advantage of.

Julius Randle (vs TOR – $8,000 on DK; $7,600 on FD): And the same thing goes for Randle. This is a tough matchup and there are too many inconsistencies in his game to trust his ceiling and his guaranteed value in this matchup given his price. He might deliver, but there are no guarantees with him and that’s the problem.

Lou Williams (at MIA – $7,400 on DK; $6,100 on FD): Kawhi is back and Lou hasn’t been delivering like you would like him to deliver in recent games. And this is a tough matchup against a very good Miami team. It’s a high salary for Lou and the consistency isn’t there right now. He can always turn things around because he’s that good but there are too many red flags in this one.

Andrew Wiggins (vs HOU – $7,000 on DK; $6,800 on FD): With Towns back, Wiggins has taken the expect backseat. He’s still going to get his shots, but his price remains too high in this matchup. Just avoid the Timberwolves in this game. They aren’t a good team and maybe the Rockets have turned it around after a good win against the Nuggets. The price is too high with the circumstances surrounding Minnesota right now.
