NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds on DraftKings and FanDuel Jan. 25
Duds
Anthony Davis (at PHI – $9,300 on DK; $10,600 on FD): There’s a chance Davis doesn’t play. And obviously, if he doesn’t play, you shouldn’t take hm unless you’re really confident in your other picks. But he’s a bit restricted right now and the Sixers aren’t the easiest of opponents. This salary is too high to afford a miss on and there is more value below him.
Spencer Dinwiddie (at DET – $7,200 on DK; $6,400 on FD): Dinwiddie has a high ceiling but things are awkward with the Nets right now and that concerns me. He price is too high on DK but maybe he’s worth the risk on FD because the matchup is good and it’s a slow night with only four games on the main slate.
Tobias Harris (vs LAL – $7,100 on DK; $7,200 on FD): Harris has struggled as of late and this isn’t the best matchup to walk into when you’ve been struggling. He was better against Toronto but prior to that, things weren’t good as shots weren’t falling and he wasn’t doing enough elsewhere. I don’t trust his consistency at the moment.
Shabazz Napier (vs OKC – $5,600 on DK; $4,800 on FD): Napier hasn’t delivered in recent games with the Timberwolves starting to get healthy. The price on FD isn’t terrible but it’s not good on DK. It’s a back to back for both teams but OKC got a little more rest and they are just a better team, especially on the defensive side.
