NFL uniform power rankings: The top 100 of all-time
80. 1945 Chicago Bears
If you love the history of the game, you’re probably familiar with these. The Bears have always enjoyed some of the better uniforms in the sport, and the throwbacks to the ’40s are no exception. Clean, classic and timeless.
79. 1960 Dallas Texans
The dawn of the AFL brought eight new teams into professional football, including the Dallas Texans. The Texans became the Kansas City Chiefs, which you can see from the color scheme. Very simple uniform with a nice helmet logo.
78. 1997 Baltimore Ravens
These are the original jerseys from when the Ravens came to be in the mid-90s. Baltimore had the large ravens on each shoulder with the Maryland crest on the helmet. Out of that came two wings. It’s weird, and somehow it works.
77. 2018 Atlanta Falcons
Going back to the red uniforms was always going to score points here. The Falcons also added some red back into the helmet, although that still needs to become a full red. Regardless, upgrades over the Andre Rison era.
76. 1966 Pittsburgh Steelers
Tough to tell because the photo is in black and white, but the shoulders are adorned in yellow, giving the Steelers a cape look. It’s unique and only lasted a few years before going the way of extinction.
75. 1982 Buffalo Bills
The Bills went to the charging buffalo from the standing one in the mid-70s and haven’t looked back (even though they should have). These aren’t classics, but there’s nothing to complain about. No craziness, properly-sized logo, etc.
74. 1980 Cleveland Browns
These are from the short era of the Browns wearing orange pants with brown tops. Cleveland didn’t continue this tradition past the early 1980s, but it was a solid choice.
73. 1937 Green Bay Packers
You want throwbacks? You’ve got throwbacks. The Packers thrived in these duds by way of the passing game with Don Hutson catching 99 touchdowns over the course of his Hall of Fame career.
72. 1956 New York Giants
New York has always maintained a certain sense of class and elegance throughout its history. The uniforms in 1956 certainly fit that bill, with white numerals against navy blue tops.
71. 1995 New England Patriots
Whew, ton going on here. The flying Elvis’ not just on each side of the helmet, but in HUGE jersey patches. GET IT. Also, we’ve got the funky jersey numbers and the low-key stripes vertically down the tops. Ridiculous(ly cool).
