DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Luka Doncic ($11,900): With Russ out and Harden doubtful, that takes a lot of star power off the slate. Luka will be even more popular, especially since he put up 62 DraftKings points on the Thunder the first time around. Luka hasn’t hit value in either of the last two games, but that should change here.

De’Aaron Fox ($8,100): This is a great matchup for Fox, but he is priced for a ceiling game. I always hate using guys in this situation, but it’s a small slate against a bad Minnesota defense. This is a place to take the chance. The fact is that Fox hasn’t hit value in nearly two weeks. We know he’s overpriced right now.

Honorable Mention:

Dennis Schroder ($6,800): Schroder has only been under 35 DraftKings points once in the last seven games. He wasn’t under against Dallas in the first meeting either. I usually hate running guards at the Mavs, but this group is an exception. I prefer Schroder over Paul right now because of the upside, but I can’t really argue with either of them. Update: Paul is out for a personal day today. Schroder’s ownership will be high, but worth it at this price.

Shabazz Napier ($6,200): Napier is maddeningly inconsistent, but he has wrestled the job back from Culver after a triple-double in just 32 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday. I still think that’s an outlier, but Napier should still get 5x value in this price range.

Dark Horses:

Delon Wright ($4,400): Dallas has an embarrassment of riches at guard right now, and honestly, almost all of the backups are worth using. It remains to be seen what happens when Cauley-Stein enters the fray, but right now, Wright has 52 DraftKings points in the two games since Powell went down. I’ll take that for this price.

Reggie Jackson ($4,300): I’m not sure I trust Brown with Jackson back, especially since Jackson has over 30 DraftKings points in both games since his return. We just have to watch Jackson’s schedule. The Pistons are going to rest him from time to time and his minutes are still very limited. You can’t argue with the production though. Jackson looks like the best value on the slate.

Austin Rivers ($3,600): Rivers will start at one of the guard spots tonight, and will likely be the one the offense runs through. Rivers has at least 22 DraftKings points in three straight games anyway. This could be a monster night for him at the price.
