DraftKings PGA: 2020 Waste Management Open picks and analysis
DraftKings PGA – 2020 Waste Management Open Values
6,600 Sam Ryder
Sam Ryder is a DFS darling because of how well he strikes the golf ball. He gain strokes at the Sony and the American Express, striking the ball at a clip of 3.7 strokes gained. He finished top-30 at both of those events. His game is looking solid, and he returns to a course that he played for the first time last year. Ryder finished T60 in 2019, and will look to improve upon that finish.
6,900 Chesson Hadley
How am I not going to play a ball striker extraordinaire like Chesson Hadley this week? Hadley has all the skills to succeed at this course. His T20 here last year with a T5 in 2018 tells you all you need to know. Hadley struggles around the green are minimized by the fact that people rarely miss the greens here. If he can return to his world class ball striking prowess this week, I like his chances to best his 2019 finish.
6,800 Sepp Straka
Sepp played well at the American Express and struggled mightily at Torrey Pines. He burned a lot of fantasy golfers, missing the cut with such a high DFS ownership. I see a bounce back week at TPC Scottsdale. His ball-striking has been solid, and he can post low numbers. Sepp has not played the Waste Management Open. With the MC at the Farmers and the lack of course history, that sets up for very low ownership for a golfer priced to move.
