Duds

Zach LaVine (at IND – $8,600 on DK; $8,700 on FD): LaVine is typically good for his scoring numbers but he’s coming off a tough game and this is a tough matchup. And if Oladipo is able to make his return, that’s going to be a big energy boost for the Pacers if nothing else. There’s better value below him.

Spencer Dinwiddie (vs DET – $7,500 on DK; $6,900 on FD): This largely hinges on the status of Kyrie. If Kyrie doesn’t play then Dinwiddie is a fine option because the matchup is good and he’ll be the lead option. But if Kyrie plays then it’s going to be the Kyrie show and that’s an issue for Dinwiddie. Don’t make any decisions until Kyrie’s status is available.

Eric Gordon (at POR – $7,300 on DK; $6,100 on FD): If Harden is back, stay away from Gordon at this price. They assume that Harden won’t be back but even Westbrook’s return is going to hurt Gordon’s value. This is a classic case of a high salary based on previous circumstances and one game. Don’t fall into the trap.

Nemanja Bjelica (vs OKC – $6,700 on DK; $6,400 on FD): This is a tough matchup as the Thunder are very good against the position. And the Thunder will get a boost if Paul returns to the lineup. I trust the Thunder defense to potentially slow down the Kings offense and if Bagley is able to play, that’s going to hurt him even more.

Steven Adams (at SAC – $5,500 on DK; $5,000 on FD): Something is still wrong with Adams after taking that fall with Capela. His minutes remain down and he’s not just moving as well. His salary has dropped but a hobbled Adams isn’t exactly a very good Adams. Until he regains his form, stay away.
