Milwaukee Bucks

Sending out: Ersan Ilyasova (PHI), Dragan Bender (IND)

Bringing in: Frank Jackson (NOP), Allonzo Trier (NYK), Jake Layman (MIN)

The Bucks are once again approaching the NBA Trade Deadline as the best team in the NBA and, again, by a fairly wide margin. They are in the top three in both offensive and defensive efficiency, outscoring opponents by an average of 12.1 points per 100 possessions — the second-best mark in the league is the Lakers at plus-7.1. The Bucks don’t really need anything and, honestly, more than any other team in the league have chemistry and momentum that isn’t worth shaking up to try and squeeze a bit more depth out of a trade.

But, this silly thing requires all 30 teams so here we are.

Milwaukee sends out Bender, who’s been injured and completely out of the rotation, and Ilyasova, an effective player who is still just ninth on the team in minutes played. In return, the pick up two specialists whose skills could be theoretically come in handy down the road. Trier is a physical wing who can create his own shot off the dribble, the kind of player who could swing a few key second-unit minutes in the playoffs. Layman is a tall and bouncy forward who can hit from the outside, fill a lane in transition and defend three positions. It’s probably not a good idea, but they can’t all be winners.
