Sacramento Kings

Sending out: Dewayne Dedmon (IND)

Bringing in: Marcus Morris (NYK)

Harrison Barnes is leading the Kings in minutes played this season. Marcus Morris, right now, is the player we all hoped Barnes could be. On a disastrous Knicks team, Morris has been the one consistent offensive positive, averaging career-highs in points, usage and true shooting percentage, while canning 44.4 percent of 3-pointers. He might have to rein things in a big on a Sacramento team with more talent and more direction but he could undoubtedly help this year, even if a playoff push is too far-fetched.

Dedmon was a mistake, the Kings haven’t really used him and he doesn’t want them to at this point. Morris is an expiring contract and the Kings could lose him for nothing but he helps while he’s here, erases the Dedmon mistake and adds cap space for this summer that could be used to re-sign Bogdan Bogdanovic.
