Duds

Nikola Jokic (vs UTA – $10,100 on DK; $10,200 on FD): Jokic has a high ceiling as he can do a bit of everything and the Jazz are on a back to back. But Gobert is obviously a tough matchup for him and that’s the concerning part for me. This salary is too high for a miss and there is more reliable options below him.

Ben Simmons (at ATL – $8,900 on DK; $9,300 on FD): Embiid is back and that means Simmons is going to take a hit. He’s still a triple double threat and it’s a great matchup. But the salary is still as single Simmons and that’s just not the case anymore. There are positive signs, but the return of Embiid mixed the salary is too much you can ignore.

De’Aaron Fox (at LAC – $7,600 on DK; $7,800 on FD): It’s a back to back for Fox and while the ceiling is high, the Clippers are going to be playing some inspired basketball inside Staples. Maybe Fox raises his level but there are too many red flags for my liking.

Kevin Love (vs TOR – $7,200 on DK; $6,800 on FD): Love has dipped off in the post couple of games and now he has a tough matchup against the Raptors. There is better value below him with better matchups and more trustworthy options above him with higher ceilings.

Marcus Smart (vs GS – $6,200 on DK; $5,600 on FD): Smart is inconsistent and the salary is too high for my liking. He’s shown to have a high ceiling and this is a great matchup but I expect the Celtics to play a well rounded game and Smart doesn’t always get in on the scoring action.
