NFL Football DFS: FanDuel single game picks for Super Bowl LIV
By Hans Geevers
Tyreek Hill $12,000:
I am stacking my MVP quarterback with his number one wide receiver. That receiver is none other than Tyreek Hill. I am going with Hill and fading Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Why? Well, the 49ers have outstanding coverage linebackers. I think the 49ers will do a relatively decent job of slowing down Kelce. In doing so, I think Hill gets a higher number of receiving targets than normal. In my opinion, a key weakness of the San Francisco secondary is a lack of speed. Having stated that, I think Hill has the potential for multiple big plays on Super Bowl Sunday! I love Hill in this football game.
Demarcus Robinson $6,500
For my last flex play, I am going to take a chance on Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson. Obviously, Robinson does not see anywhere near the receiving targets of a Travis Kelce or a Tyreek Hill. I am fine with that. I have realistic expectations with regard to Robinson’s fantasy potential in this game.
Although Robinson is not a key member of the Chiefs pass catchers, he does have some potential to pop in this game. Why do I say that? Well, Chiefs coach Andy Reid believes in getting the football to the open receiver regardless of the name on the back of the jersey.
Let’s just look at it from this perspective. If the 49ers decide to double Tyreek Hill in the secondary, other receivers will get open. Will 49ers defensive back Richard Sherman be tasked with following Hill all over the field on Sunday night? It’s possible. If any of the scenarios just mentioned does occur it would definitely present more opportunity for Robinson to help your fantasy team this Sunday.
It should also be noted that Robinson has been targeted by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes eight times in the team’s last three games. Additionally, Robinson did have a receiving touchdown in the three game span I just noted.
As always, good luck! Enjoy the big game on Sunday!
