The Good Place concludes its four-season-long run with its series finale, “Whenever You’re Ready” on Thursday night. Here’s how to watch the finale online.

Finally, after everything the humans, Janet and Michael did to fix the afterlife, they were rewarded by making it to the real Good Place. But, of course, nothing is ever that simple or straightforward on The Good Place.

In the penultimate episode last week, Chidi and Eleanor learn that there is a major flaw in how the Good Place works. An eternity of paradise turns everyone into mindless zombies because they have everything they want or need forever without having to work for it.

By the end of the episode, the Good Place has been fixed by providing an endpoint to endless paradise giving it more meaning and giving everyone purpose again. The last we saw of Chidi, Elenor, Jason, Tahani, Michael and Janet, they are off to enjoy their well earned Good Place lives.

For most series, this would seem like a great place to end, but The Good Place still has a 90-minute series finale. That’s plenty of time for one last twist for the sitcom known for regularly shaking up its premise. The only clue for what could happen in the series finale comes from the title, “Whenever You’re Ready” because the synopsis gives absolutely nothing away: “Various conversations occur, between various groups of people,” an episode synopsis as vague as possible.
